James Margetts

Partner

James manages all work in the Greater China region. He has been a resident in Asia for three decades and has extensive working knowledge of China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, the Philippines, and Vietnam. His career includes extensive experience in commercial investigations, IPR and fraud detection and prevention. He is a Graduate of Dartmouth College with a BA degree in Asian Studies. James is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and has a working knowledge of Japanese and Turkish.

David Tuck, MVO

Partner

David has three decades of experience in investigations, corporate communications, government service and journalism, most of which time has been spent in Asia. Prior to joining the firm in 2005, he was a former Press Secretary and Official Spokesman at Buckingham Palace, and also spent 6 years with the British Embassy in Thailand and Laos (where he headed the British Trade Office, the precursor to establishment of a full embassy), working on political, commercial and other matters. David reads and speaks Thai at an advanced level, and Lao to an intermediate level. He has a BA degree in Mediaeval & Modern History from University College London, and studied Thai at the School of Oriental and African Studies, London.

Tom Parker

Partner

Tom is an acknowledged specialist on the Southeast Asian security environment, international relations and politics. Prior to joining the firm in 2011, he served as a risk analyst at the British Embassy, Bangkok. Within this role he helped lead initiatives to tackle illegal migration and associated organized crime in Vietnam, building intelligence by working with foreign missions, local enforcement and government in Hanoi. Tom has overseen multiple complex projects throughout the Asia Pacific region. He speaks and reads Thai fluently and has worked as a Thai interpreter for the UK Home Office. He has an MA degree in Southeast Asian Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies, London.

Paul Bromberg

Senior Adviser

Paul retired as CEO of Spectrum OSO Asia in June 2019, following more than 30 years overseeing and conducting investigations in Asia. He was Director of Research for Kroll in Hong Kong before founding the specialist investigations firm, OVG International Ltd, and then serving as a Director of the Asian operations of Armor Holdings, Inc, a NYSE listed security and investigations firm. He co-founded Spectrum OSO Asia in June 2003. Paul is a recognized expert on Chinese and Southeast Asian business affairs; he speaks regularly at risk management and other conferences and is often quoted in media articles. He has a BA degree in Modern Chinese Studies from the University of Leeds, England.
